The coaching offered at Kids Inspire is an in-house developed model built up on existing approaches

It draws from years of experience in short-term, solution focused and strengths-based approaches. Our C.I.R.C.L.E coaching model empowers young people and/or their parents through:

C Collaboration

I Integration

R Resourcing

C Challenging

L Learning

E Emotional Regulation

I have gained confidence in situations and feel more positive. I am able to talk to someone when I have a problem.
— Sophie, 16
I have noticed a difference in Sophie, she seems a lot happier and more confident. I have noticed that she wants to do more and is socialising more. Previously Sophie would isolate herself in her room.

How can coaching support a young person?

Coaching aims to develop positive outcomes for young people and the approach is always underpinned by the promotion of wellbeing and the prevention of mental health problems.

Coaching looks at situations that the young person finds difficult and helps him/her to develop new skills and coping strategies to promote healthier and more effective habits, attitudes or abilities to deal with difficult situations.

Who coaching can support?

  • Young people who are struggling to manage their behaviour e.g. anger outbursts, withdrawal triggered by depression

  • Young people who need support to increase their motivation, aspiration and achievements

  • Young people who need to develop self – belief, self-worth and confidence

  • Young people who appear anxious or stressed

  • Young people who require support in developing communication and interpersonal skills.

Coaching is about achieving individual goals

Following a group coaching session, our therapist reported that:

Clare

“Clare suffered from stress around exams and the course improved her confidence and allowed her to recognise her strengths which lessened her stress around exams.”

Aarna

“Aarna wanted to improve her confidence and coaching enabled her to look at herself with a more positive and confident perspective.”

Ada

“Ada wanted to improve her confidence and during coaching her self-esteem and confidence grew, and she became confident to express her own views and opinions to others.”

Josie

“Josie wanted to control her anger and coaching has enabled her to reflect on her reactions to others and allow herself to have a choice in how she responds.”
