Who we work with

Where do referrals for children’s mental health support come from?

Referrals to our service come from various sources, with the majority coming from individuals themselves and schools.

We work with children and families from across East Anglia, from those needing a brief consultation or early intervention to complex cases and severe trauma recovery.

We accept referrals for children from 4 to 18 years old, and up to 25 if there are additional needs. If the child is younger than 4, then we will likely direct the support to the family/parents.

Our work

All children and families deserve the mental health support they need to thrive. This is why we provide free specialist trauma support for children and families who would not otherwise be able to afford it.

With every child we meet, our team of specialists create a recovery plan suited to each child’s needs and circumstances. This includes a range of approaches:

  • Trauma Recovery

  • Creative Therapy

  • Family and Group Support

  • Mentoring

  • Community Outreach

Reason for referral

Every child we meet has a different story. Here are some of the reasons that they have been referred:

  • Feeling overwhelmed by negative feelings and a lack of coping strategies

  • Difficulty to self-regulate and make positive choices

  • Struggling with arguments and communication within the family

  • Social isolation and lacking a sense of belonging/ support network.

Who Do We Work With?

We’re very happy with the small results that were aimed for and feel we got more out of it than expected.
