The Kids Inspire press office can provide journalists with information and comment on a wide range of issues relating to children and young people’s mental health, trauma caused by significant life events and the work of Kids Inspire.

Key Statistics

7363 people were reached through our core services, outreach/engagement, volunteering and fundraising
4032 people were supported by therapy, mentoring, groups and consultations
56.8% of referred cases had 4+ presenting issues – an increase of 13.2% on the previous year. Which remains consistently higher than 2019
Each case has a child at its centre: 90% are 5-15 years old, 7.14% 16-18 and receives a package of support consisting of one or more of the following:
Creative Arts Therapies: including Drama, Integrative Arts, Music, Dance & Movement, and Play
Trauma Resolution Therapies: including Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Children’s Accelerated Trauma Treatment (CATT), Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP), Theraplay, Somatic Experiencing (SE) and NeuroAffective Touch
Family Therapy
Other Talk Therapies: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Transactional Analysis and Psychodynamic Counselling
Groups: CREW, EPIC, NVR, The Voice.
Our 302 volunteers gifted 6305 hours of their time.
