Commissioning, Trusts and Foundations
We are fortunate and incredibly grateful to the commissioners, trusts and foundations whose generosity enables us to reach more children, young people and families.
Our mission is for all children in the UK to receive specialist support to become healthy adults who lead complete and fulfilling lives.
Our approach is holistic and specialised; we have formed an identity as a trauma-informed practice provider bringing the latest neuroscience developments into front line delivery.
How our work is funded
Our support services vary from early intervention and short-term (1 to 12 weeks) to complex needs and longer-term support (12 to 24 sessions) to specialised trauma recovery therapy (24 to 48+ sessions). To be able to offer this range and to focus on the needs of the child at the centre, our funding comes into the charity from a variety of ways:
Commissioning
To achieve the best outcome for the child at the centre of each case we work in partnership with other services and organisations.
By developing and healing connections, services we offer fill the gaps, and we believe in continuous development - we learn from others as well as offer training to others, working together.
Our current commissioned partnerships include:
Local Authorities (LAs)
Individual Fostering/Adoption/Special Guardianship referrals are commissioned by Local Authorities and Social Care.
We welcome enquiries from LAs for these services.
Schools
We continue to support schools across Essex with clinical supervision for pastoral leaders and head teachers, therapies for children and families and training for all school staff. Our experienced specialist team of therapists enables us to provide bespoke packages of support.
We welcome enquiries from Schools/ a consortium of schools about a package of support.
NHS - ICBs
ICB (previously CCG) funding has created a three organisation partnership to deliver a service for children, young people, and their parents/ carers. This service, if needed, helps with the traumatic impact of the Coronavirus crisis and related escalation of mental health issues.

Essex County Council (ECC)
Commissioned funds from Essex County Council are for our ‘Early Intervention Work’. You can read more about this latest commission here.
A group of Brentwood primary, infant and junior schools is working in partnership with Kids Inspire to support the emotional health and well-being of pupils across these schools:
“We are now able to refer easily with a swift response. A full assessment of need is carried out by the clinical team and a range of interventions can be accessed. Previously, referrals to agencies resulted in a six-week course of one to one support for the child, considering only one area of need, for example. Kids Inspire not only supports the child but the whole family. They are able to consider a full range of therapeutic support to meet the needs of our pupils; an example of this is where one family has play therapy for the child as well as both parents received their own individualised plan. Should therapy need to last for longer than six weeks, it does. If it needs to last for six months, this is also the case. Kids Inspire has a thorough holistic approach and is making a significant difference to the lives of our pupils.”

Trusts and Foundations
Trusts and Foundations play a vital role in funding Kids Inspire’s work supporting young people and their families.
They are registered charities and legal organisations, and funds may be donated regularly or on occasion to charities successful through a bid and awarding process
We are grateful for the ongoing support from these current funders:
