Highlights from the 2025 Christmas Appeal
In 2025 we delivered gifts to 4,025 children and their siblings - this is an increase of almost 20% compared to gifts delivered in 2024! Alongside, over 600 festive food hampers were delivered to families.

You’re welcome to still make a monetary donation until 31 January 2025, any donations will now go towards next year’s appeal.
Why does the Christmas Appeal exist?
The Christmas Appeal is about more than gifts; it’s about providing hope and relief to families navigating immense challenges. For many, Christmas isn’t a season of abundance but one of survival.
A young person fleeing an abusive home, trying to find safety and stability, who found a small moment of hope through receiving a gift.
A family dealing with a cancer diagnosis, where the stress of treatment and daily life can make the festive season feel impossible.
Single-parent households and large families struggling financially, for whom a Christmas present might otherwise be out of reach.
Children who have never experienced Christmas before, who now have the chance to feel included, celebrated, and cared for.
These are real people and real stories, and your support makes all the difference. Thank you for being part of this vital effort.
The history of the Kids Inspire Christmas Appeal
Since 2009 we have successfully run a Christmas Appeal to source, wrap and deliver presents, and hampers, to nominated children and their families in Essex.
Every year we ask for help from the local community to support the appeal and every year we are overwhelmed by the response and the desire to help give children a better Christmas.
The options to be involved have remained the same throughout: to Donate, to Give a Gift or to Give a Hamper - or quite simply to share about the appeal to help raise awareness of the need.

Who supports the Christmas Appeal?
The Christmas Appeal would not be possible without all our supporters and organisations who make donations, provide gifts, and make up food hampers. There are just too many to name individually, but each are valued equally.
In 2025 our 307 volunteers gifted over a total of 1,453 hours wrapping and delivering to make the appeal happen.
Christmas Appeal 2024
In 2024 we delivered gifts to 3,374 children and siblings - 18% more than those delivered in 2023. And over 900 families received food hampers.
Christmas Appeal 2023
In 2023, 2,850 young people from across Essex received gifts from the Christmas Appeal, doubling the previous year! And over 700 families received food hampers.

Who nominates?
Nominations into the Christmas Appeal come from Social Workers, Schools and our own professional team.
