Why I am committed to volunteering as a mentor for young people
At Kids Inspire volunteer mentors play a vital role in supporting young people with their mental health, by becoming positive role models, and helping them build self-esteem and confidence. Oliver started volunteering as a mentor for young people in February 2022.
Mental Health Awareness Week: Colchester Sixth Form students identify how they relieve anxiety
It’s Mental Health Awareness Week in the UK and the theme for this year is anxiety. On 26 April 2023 we attended a brand-new Charity Awareness Day set up by Colchester Sixth Form College. Sandra (Community Fundraiser) and I (Digital Marketing Assistant) took this opportunity to engage in conversations about anxiety with students aged 16-19, asking them how they feel when they’re anxious and how they relieve anxiety.
Essex Wildlife Trust leads Forest School at Easter Lunch Club
Kids Inspire held its Easter Lunch Club kindly sponsored by Utilize. We were joined by Lizzie, a Forest School Specialist from Essex Wildlife Trust, for a fantastic morning out in nature, exploring the Kids Inspire garden.
