Payroll Giving
Payroll Giving is the easiest way to make a regular tax-free donation to Kids Inspire.
Donations are taken each month from your gross salary before tax is deducted, which means immediate tax relief on your donation.
Anyone who pays UK tax through PAYE can donate through Payroll Giving.
Payroll Giving is a valuable, long-term source of income for charities. Regular donations help us budget and plan ahead, helping us to make a lasting difference.
How much can I donate through Payroll Giving?
This is your choice, you can choose how much and there is no minimum or maximum amount.
For every £1 that you earn, 20p is paid in tax, if you pay the basic 20% tax rate.
A pledge of £10 a month via Payroll Giving means £10 will come to us, while only £8 is deducted from your net pay.
Or, if you pay income tax at the higher rate of 40%, a pledge of £10 a month will deduct £6 from your net pay, and at the highest rate of 45% income tax, only £5.50 would be deducted.
Examples of pledges and costs
Employee Pledge £5 £20
20% taxpayer £4 £16
40% taxpayer £3 £12
45% taxpayer £2.75 £11
Next steps:
Speak to your employer and find out if they are members of a Payroll Giving Scheme. If not, you can make a request that they find and select an approved payroll-giving agency.
If your circumstances change and you want to cancel or change your donation, speak to your employer and they can do that for you. If you move jobs, please start a new scheme (or request to join) with your new employers.

How your donation could change a life
Your support can help young people reclaim their future and live full lives.
“I find it hard to talk to my parents without getting angry. When I spoke to someone at Kids Inspire on my own, we talked about my angry feelings and what I liked and what I didn’t” - Henry 8
