FAQs

  • Chapeau events attract people of all levels of experience and fitness, all ages and backgrounds. There is an expectation that all participants will train hard in advance to achieve this challenge, but limitations will be respected.

You will be in the saddle for upward of 60 miles a day for two consecutive days, so you should ensure, as a minimum, that you are comfortable riding a 50-mile day and have achieved this regularly before you leave for the trip.

Whilst the profile for this event is mainly flat on ride day two, ride day one will be undulating terrain, so you should include some easy hilly rides in your training.

  • Chapeau (our booking and logistics partner) has rated this event 2/8 difficulty – Relatively Easy – slightly longer descents/ascents with occasional steeper spurts. They design their challenges so that everyone can go at their own pace; this is not a race. Further information regarding how Chapeau rates their challenges.

  • Our logistics and booking partner, Chapeau, has listed many more FAQs on their website (scroll down the page!)

These include queries on accommodation, luggage, meals, safety, and insurance.

If you still have further questions, about the ride then please get in touch with Chapeau, or if your queries relate to fundraising and gaining support, please contact us directly.

  • I am interested in sponsoring the cycle ride. How can I find out more information?

A: You can email to find out more about this. We have multiple opportunities available from including a ‘logo on our cycle jerseys’ to ‘sponsoring the entire ride’. Rachael has more information and can answer any queries.

Or you can find out about other sponsorship opportunities on our website.
