School holiday lunch club continues for one more year

Children who might miss out on lunch in school holidays will not go without, now that a support project has been confirmed for another year. The Essex Millennium Fund and other Essex Community Foundation (ECF) trusts have awarded £10,000 for the project.

Sue Bell and Paula Ashfield from Kids Inspire attended the ECF awards evening on Tuesday to receive a cheque. This will allow Kids Inspire to continue for a further year with the successful “Kids who Lunch” project.

At the presentation event Cllr Norman Hume, Chairman of Essex County Council, paid tribute to the 10,000 voluntary organisations in Essex for the contribution they make in the county.

Kids Inspire is looking to expand this project to young people aged 11-14. If you are interested in sponsoring or volunteering please email paula@kidsinspire.org.uk.
