Kids garden party to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee
Young people of all ages were the star guests at a Jubilee celebration party hosted in the grounds of local children’s charity, Kids Inspire, Great Baddow.
In attendance were around 70 children, aged from as young as 1 right up to 17, along with their families. All know Kids Inspire via the services and outreach that the charity delivers across the county, and the national celebration offered a perfect opportunity to invite them all back in to celebrate a momentous occasion together.
The children’s entertainment ranged from arts and crafts, a Silent Disco, a Human Fruit Machine, dancing from Bambamboogies, and lots of fun in the onsite playground. A Red, White and Blue dress code was befitting of the celebration, while the mini guests enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea with cake, fruit and sandwiches.
Paula Ashfield, Head of Fundraising and Communications at Kids Inspire, said:
“It has been such a lovely event and we have enjoyed having so many visitors at Hargrave House. The day has been filled with laughter and fun, and all of our guests left with smiles on their faces.”
Two young guests, Ami, 8 and Zara, 6, said: “It’s been fun today and we really enjoyed doing all the activities. The silent disco was lots of fun and the arts and crafts were too.”
A mum of two young attendees, said: “My two had a fabulous time!”
Thanks to Great Baddow Parish Council, Chelmsford Phoenix Rotary, and Waitrose Billericay for funding and offering their support for this celebratory event. Special mention to members of the Phoenix Rotary for creating and hosting the human fruit machine!
