Children’s emotional wellbeing to benefit from charitable partnership

Kids Inspire, The Children’s Society and Southend YMCA have formed a partnership to support the emotional wellbeing needs of children, young people and their families across Essex.

The partnership, which is made up of experienced children’s mental health and youth professionals from the three organisations, formed some months ago and was successful in bidding for a grant from Essex County Council.

The new Family Innovation Fund (FIF) service is open to referrals from Monday 1 April 2019 with a focus on early intervention emotional wellbeing support for children and young people aged 8-19 across Essex, and their parents/carers. The aim of the support is for children/ young people to:

  • have healthy inter-parental & family relationships

  • be emotionally healthy, happy and resilient

  • make behaviour choices that promote safety and wellbeing

  • be socially connected and resourceful.
