Charitable giving and corporate social responsibility
Gifting to charity comes in many forms. Alongside individual giving, we are fortunate to have the support of local organisations. Often this support goes beyond fundraising by also gifting us access to welcome professional services, also described as corporate social responsibility (CSR) in the business world.
CSR is a self-regulating business model that helps a company be socially accountable – to itself, it’s stakeholders and the public. By practising corporate social responsibility, organisations can be conscious of the kind of impact they are having on aspects of society, including economic, social, and environmental.
As important as CSR is for the community, it is equally valuable to an organisation.
CSR activities can help forge a stronger bond between employees and organisations; boost morale, and help both employees and employers feel more connected with the world around them.
CSR can take many forms depending on the company and industry, but just some examples that we are most familiar with at Kids Inspire are:
Charitable giving
Volunteering
Professional services
Prontaprint Russell Square has gifted Kids Inspire their printing services for free throughout 2020. Already, we have benefited from a number of printed flyers and various other printed items too!
Focus creative agency has gifted so much invaluable creative support; brand guidelines; graphic design; the list goes on. Most recently, the team are busy designing our Impact Report… watch this space!
Shareable has gifted Kids Inspire access to their intuitive social scheduling, monitoring and engagement software. Access to Shareable enables Kids Inspire to schedule across all social channels, as well as monitor, engage and queue relevant content.
VerriBerri has just recently announced Kids Inspire as their charity of the year and aim to fundraise in support of our services. On top of this they will be supporting us with their professional PR services as well as volunteering.
There are many more organisations that support us with ad hoc professional projects here and there, and we are very grateful to them too. Most recently; Baker Labels, Barker Associates; JW Steele among many others.
