Brentwood half marathon & Fun Run… done!

High winds from storm Gareth couldn’t stop 24 half-marathon and 31 ‘fun runners’ completing their running challenge on behalf of Kids Inspire on Sunday 17 March.

All runners representing the children’s charity – the youngest of which was eight years old – completed either the 3-mile fun run or the 13.1 mile half-marathon.

Funds raised by runners, ahead of the annual Brentwood-half marathon and Fun Run will go towards supporting children and young people with emerging mental health difficulties across Essex.

The event relied upon support from dedicated volunteers to serve refreshments on the day, and the Giggly Pig concession stall shared profits with the children’s charity – as part of a corporate partnership offering.

Overall it was an event enjoyed by many.
