2021 – a year full of inspiring fundraisers (yet again!)

“It’s been another challenging year, yet once again I have been proud and inspired by all that has been achieved. You, our supporters, have been incredible and have stood behind us in more ways than one, so thank you.

Together we have embraced (and enjoyed) challenge events with highlights including runners taking on the London Marathon and half marathons as part of Team Kids Inspire and our very own 2021-mile cycle ride which saw 50 cyclists tackling a 20.21-mile circuit around Great Baddow, some even took on three laps!

We are pleased to share an update our GEMs (Giving Every Month) campaign. Over the summer we invited you to be a part of something big for Kids Inspire and to ‘give every month’. This group of committed supporters help children, young people and their families to recover from traumatic experiences by gifting every month and by providing a reliable source of regular funding. I’m pleased to report that we met our target and altogether we now have 39 amazing GEMs!

Throughout December we have been proudly announcing the winners of the Kids Inspire Awards 2021 and I am pleased to recap on some of the incredible achievements of our supporters:

  • Team of the Year went to our committed challengers who took on the Lands End to John O’ Groats virtual Challenge. Together they walked a combined total of 7,866 miles and raised an astounding total of £17,369.19!

“I’m super proud to be part of this fantastic team! Rain, wind, snow but great memories!” Allison, one of the challengers.

  • Fundraiser of the Year went to our dedicated supporter, Pam. She runs the All Sorts stall in Chelmsford Market in aid of Kids Inspire alongside her team of volunteers. She has raised thousands of pounds this year alone with 100% of the profit going towards the children, young people and families we support.

We are always looking for new and inspired ways for you, our supporters, to get involved. Throughout 2021 we have been truly honoured by all your efforts in and around the community. To give you a flavour you can read our blog post from October this year which was a bumper month of fundraising.

Check out a few more of our own individual fundraising ideas here if you might like to be involved or to host your own fundraiser.

To wrap up my celebration of 2021, I thought I’d make one final ask… we are looking for new challengers to be a part of Team Kids Inspire in 2022, if you think you can take on a challenge, check out some forthcoming events here. Or feel free to find your own and to sign-up in aid of Kids Inspire.

‘Is 2022 the year to challenge yourself and to empower positive youth mental health’? If the answer is yes, then we welcome you onboard and who knows it could be you that receives one of our annual accolades next year!

Please get in touch or click here to subscribe to our monthly newsletter.”
