Training

We offer a variety of training courses related to young people’s mental health.

More and more, those who support young people are seeing their role evolve into a balance between education/guidance and pastoral care.

Using our experience and specialist knowledge we offer training for:

  • Those who support young people; educators, health workers, social workers, parent/carers etc

  • Mentors (a trained volunteer in the role of ‘professional friend’ to a young person)

  • Community volunteers.

Why do we offer training?

Educators, health and social workers all play a vital role in a child’s life outside the family home.

Life events are often unpredictable. Living through a traumatic experience can change the course of life for children and families. How well people survive depends upon individual emotional resilience developed by the quality of attachment to others.

Just by being aware of when (if ever) the right time is to refer a child or young person for professional support can make all the difference to their life.

“Incredibly pertinent, accessible and inspiring stuff. These training sessions and tools are the keys to creating a society that serves everyone with justice. I appreciate your work so much Kids Inspire!” - Tigan Palmer, Head of Programme Development, The Kids Network

Trauma-Informed Practice Training
