Highlights from the 2023 Christmas Appeal

In 2023 we delivered gifts to 2,850 children and siblings - this is double the gifts delivered in 2022!

Alongside, over 700 festive food hampers were delivered to families.

The history of the Kids Inspire Christmas Appeal

Since 2009 we have successfully run a Christmas Appeal to source, wrap and deliver presents, and hampers, to nominated children and their families in Essex.

Every year we ask for help from the local community to support the appeal and every year we are overwhelmed by the response and the desire to help give children a better Christmas.

The options to be involved have remained the same throughout: to Donate, to Give a Gift or to Give a Hamper - or quite simply to share about the appeal to help raise awareness of the need.

Why does the Christmas Appeal exist?

Alfie and Sophie both have a story to tell. Sadly, Alfie has experienced domestic abuse, and Sophie is neglected and experiences hunger on a regular basis. One of the teams we work with across Essex told us Alfie and Sophie’s story. And thanks to the generosity of our supporters, they both received gifts and hampers.

Who Supports the Christmas Appeal?

The Christmas Appeal would not be possible without all our supporters and organisations who make donations, provide gifts, and makeup food hampers.

In 2023 our 220 volunteers gifted a total of 944 hours wrapping and delivering to make the appeal happen.

Christmas Appeal 2022

In 2022, 1,615 young people from across Essex received gifts from the Christmas Appeal and over 500 families received food hampers

Who nominates?

Nominations into the Christmas Appeal come from Social Workers, Schools and our own professional team.
