Unwrapping the gift of festive giving with Kids Inspire’s Christmas Appeal

Over the last fourteen years, thousands of children, young people, and their families have benefited from gifts and hampers donated to Kids Inspire. This Christmas the cost of living is overwhelming many families and we are expecting a high demand.

Please support us by donating new, unwrapped toys and gifts for children who might not otherwise receive a Christmas present. We are also creating hampers for families. These gifts will then be wrapped and distributed to those in need.

By donating to our Christmas appeal, you can help by giving more children like Alfie and Sophie the Christmas they deserve. Sadly, Alfie has experienced domestic abuse, and Sophie had experienced neglect and hunger. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, they both received gifts and hampers last year.

Vicky Haylock, Chief Operating Officer at Kids Inspire said: “Christmas is usually a time of joy but with the ongoing cost of living crisis we’re already seeing an increase in numbers of children, young people and their families needing our support. We are in no doubt that this year, there will be many families who will struggle this Christmas.”

“Donating a gift will go a long way to making a child’s Christmas that little bit brighter and allows us as an organisation to support those that are most in need.”

How to donate to the appeal

Gifts and hampers need to be donated by Friday 8 December 2023 to be available for delivery before Christmas.

Big Give

Your impact will go further this Christmas. One off financial donations made to our Christmas Appeal in the week 28 November to 5 December up to the combined value of £2,000 will be doubled at no extra cost to you!

What difference did our Christmas Appeal make in 2022?

In the 2022 Christmas Appeal, 1,615 children and young people received gifts and over 500 families received hampers. 107 volunteers gifted a total of 483 hours of wrapping and deliveries to make this happen.

A headteacher at a local school said: “We nominated children who we felt wouldn’t get much at Christmas due to their family circumstances. That may have been because of a split family, living in temporary accommodation, or a family who were really struggling with the cost of living and who may have been forced to make difficult choices around spending, particularly at Christmas.

It is a fantastic project that Kids Inspire runs and makes a real difference to the children at my school.”

Give a gift to our Christmas Appeal and you can make a real difference to a family this Christmas.
