October 2021: A fundraising success!
This October, a number of inspirational individuals, community groups and corporate organisations gifted their time to fundraise for the children, young people and families we support.
Our third-party fundraisers are vital in enabling our services to reach as many families as possible. The unrestricted funds they raise help us to fund long-term and complex recovery support for young people and their families where needed.
Let’s take a look at the people who made October 2021 a fundraising success!
ARU NAPS
The Neonatology + Paediatrics Society at Anglia Ruskin dedicated an entire week to fundraising for us. They held a 24 hour knitathon, a bake sale and a raffle, raising over £2054 in the process.
They were even presented with the award for “Best Fundraising Event” and “Team that Raised the Most Money” by the National Paediatrics Fundraising Society who had a number groups across the country also fundraising during the week.
Frightening fundraising
Four supporters raised funds for us this Halloween.
Dedicated corporate supporter, EMJ, held a Halloween event in their office with fun events, fancy dress, and a bake sale. All proceeds from the day went to Kids Inspire.
With a dressed up van and volunteers, LED Silent Disco Hire took part in Southend’s Halloween Parade. They raised vital awareness of the support we offer and carried buckets to accept kind donations from passers-by.
Dance Expression Studios in Chelmsford held a “Dress Up Dance Class” to get in the Halloween spirit and raise funds.
Abigail’s Delicatessen and Lifestyle, a long term supporter, set up an autumnal photo opportunity and gave away pumpkins to shoppers to encourage donations.
Marathons galore
Three runners took on the London Marathon earlier in the month, running a combined total of 78 miles!
A team from Barker Associates ran the Chelmsford Half-Marathon and Amy Greville ran the Cambridge Half-Marathon.
In total, these challenge event fundraisers raised over £9200!
Week of Wellbeing
During our WoW week a number of schools ran activities and fundraised for us.
Munchkins Nurseries carried out random acts of kindness, organised a spa day for the children and raise funds.
Ingatestone and Fryerning Junior School held a non-uniform day to help raise over £200.
We are so grateful to everyone who raised funds in October. If they have inspired you, find out how you can help here
