Challenge yourself in 2022
As we welcome in the new year, why not take on a new challenge also?
Challenge yourself to one of the below opportunities or find your own sporting challenge to push yourself, achieve your goals and empower positive youth mental health.
Royal Jubilee Virtual Challenge
Kids Inspire’s London to Paris Bike Ride
2022 Sportstiks Brentwood Half Marathon and Fun Run
When you sign up to a challenge event to raise funds for Kids Inspire, we make it our priority to support you along your journey; that includes a number of free fundraising resources and regular communication and updates.
12 people, so far, have signed up to take on the Royal Jubilee Virtual Challenge, a 500-mile route visiting all four of the Queen’s residencies in the UK and more Royal highlights, in aid of Kids Inspire. If you sign up to this exciting adventure and email fundraising@kidsinspire.org.uk to let our Fundraising Team know, we can put you in touch with the other runners, walkers or cyclists taking on the challenge so you can support and encourage each other on your journey.
Martyn, took on a challenge last January, the Lands End to John O’Groats walk/run. He walked 874 miles (that’s 33.35 marathons!) in just 42 days, finishing 10th place out of 11,500 participants and raising over £5000. He said:
“I have been taking on challenges, volunteering, and generally fundraising for Kids Inspire since 2016. I was inspired by a promise I made to my wife who sadly passed away in 2015. Tracy had become a supporter of the children’s charity and I kept my promise by taking on several challenges that I never thought I would be capable of. I am particularly proud of my latest 840 mile walk as my competitive nature kicked in and encouraged me to walk more and more daily – my longest walk was on 11 February 2021 when I walked 40.59 Miles!”
Our third-party fundraisers are vital in enabling our services to reach as many families as possible. The unrestricted funds they raise help us to fund long-term and complex recovery support for young people and their families where needed.
