Thank you all so much.
Read here from Archana about her experience of online teaching in Lockdown and to find out about her online fitness classes.
“Having taught mostly in secondary schools, and having two children of my own, I know how important routine is for children – no matter how much they moan! In fact, no matter how much they moan, school is a safe haven for many children.
When lockdown 1 came into force, I knew how much disruption this would cause to so many children and their families. Many children don’t really know how to express or manifest their feelings.
I thankfully managed to teach a class online almost from the start of lockdown 1. I know how important the routine of my online lessons were for so many of these students. I am a Science teacher and taught Triple Biology online to almost 30 students! It wasn’t just about getting the academics across, it was much more about seeing their peers, seeing me as their teacher and hearing familiar voices!
We all looked forward to the few hours a week which helped so many of my students emotionally – it was great for me to have some kind of teaching continuing throughout the lockdown too.
My last online class for the summer was so emotional that it had me in tears! It was then lovely to get back into the classroom physically for the autumn term and look back at our online days – a dull time definitely made very positive with my online learning. Amazing memories made that we shall all cherish during this pandemic, and many years to come!
Alongside teaching, I am a fitness trainer, I currently host online virtual classes and will be happy for anyone interested to get in touch and if you quote ‘Kids Inspire’ I’m happy for you to have a trial for free!
