Outstanding Mental Health Professional

We're excited to share that our CEO and Clinical Director, Sue Bell OBE, was recently awarded "Public Nomination for an Outstanding Mental Health Professional" at the Mental Health and Wellbeing Awards.

The Mental Health and Wellbeing Awards celebrate outstanding and inspirational stories from across the UK, and in a special online ceremony for 2021 an audience of over 90 mental health and wellbeing professionals, including NHS services and other mental health organisations, were in attendance.

Sue’s reaction upon receiving her award was one of complete shock:

"It was truly humbling to share the virtual space with so many like minded individuals making a real difference to those impacted by mental health. I absolutely did not expect to win and am delighted that the importance of helping children, young people and families to recover from psychological trauma has been recognised at such a prestigious event." - Sue Bell OBE

The awards are an annual event and this years ceremony was co-hosted by Founder of The Root Of It, Richard Daniel Curtis and Actress Gemma Gordon.
