Information and developments will be shared here first.
Kids Inspire is taking the threat posed by COVID-19 extremely seriously. We have been closely monitoring the ongoing situation and will continue to follow advice from the UK Government.
19 March 2020
In line with recent developments across the UK we continue to follow the Public Health England guidelines. In response to the vulnerable service users we work with we have taken the decision to remain operational at Hargrave House with a reduced workforce, this change is in-line with the social distancing recommendation. The children, young people and families we work with need our mental health support now more than ever.
Prior to any face to face appointment, all service users will be offered the choice of virtual therapeutic support in its place.
Onsite at Hargrave House, strict hygiene protocols and self-check temperature controls will remain in place upon entry.
Our priority continues to be the safety of our team, services users and our wider supporter group and measures are being reviewed daily to ensure we can provide this.

Following yesterday’s press conference, the latest advice from Public Health England regarding COVID-19 has been updated. Click here to read the changes.
In summary, the guidance from PHE is that should you OR a member of your household develop a high temperature or a new and continuous cough, you should self-isolate.
Those who live alone, isolate for 7 days; if you live with other people, the whole household should isolate for 14 days.
As you will be aware, this is an unprecedented situation and we continue to review the implications for our team and service users daily.
We will continue to update this webpage when there are any new developments.
16 March 2020
As of Monday 16 March, Kids Inspire will be asking all visitors to Hargrave House to wash their hands upon arrival and to self-check their temperature with our provided equipment. Hand sanitiser will be available throughout their stay.

Update
There’s been a lot of news in the media recently about the coronavirus. The safety and wellbeing of our service users, volunteers and employees is paramount and Kids Inspire is taking the threat posed by the virus seriously. We are closely monitoring the ongoing situation and will continue to follow advice from the UK Government.
We will keep everyone informed about any changes to the delivery of our services – so far, in-line with guidance, we have not needed to implement change. Business continuity is paramount for our service users.
Visiting Hargrave House
We are asking employees and visitors to Hargrave House to be extra diligent in terms of self-care and personal hygiene and will be operating a temperature-taking/hand washing protocol upon entrance to the building from Monday 16 March.
Stay at home if you have coronavirus symptoms
In line with guidance issued on Thursday 12 March, by the UK Government, we would ask that you self-isolate for seven days if you have experienced any coronavirus symptoms or have visited a high-risk Category 1 zone, or come into contact with anyone you know or suspect may have the virus.
